🚨 Urgent Plea: 90+ Rabbits Facing Crisis in Bay Area Shelter 🚨
Dear SaveABunny Community,
We are facing an unprecedented emergency: Over 90 rabbits are currently in a Bay Area shelter, and time is not on our side.
With intakes halted due to severe capacity constraints, the shelter is faced with the incredibly tough decision of making space.
At any moment, any of these rabbits could be red-listed and placed at risk.
We urgently need your help to save lives.
The Situation:
‼️90+ rabbits are currently housed in a Bay Area shelter.
‼️Some are sick or injured and urgently need immediate placement.
‼️The shelter has had to stop accepting new rabbits due to overcrowding.
🚨How You Can Help:
➡️Foster: If you’re in California, please open your home to these rabbits temporarily. Your immediate action can make the difference between life and death for them.
➡️ 501(c)(3) Rescues: Whether you’re in-state or out-of-state, we’re ready to partner with you. We’ll work with you on transport and ensure all rabbits are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.
🚨 Why This Matters:
We’re not blaming the shelter; the Bay Area is struggling with a crisis of rabbit abandonment and dumping. Working with Heather from @therabbithaven and @caityjack12 , we’re pooling our resources to rescue as many rabbits as possible. But **we can’t do it without you.

I’ve been dreading seeing these post….this is what happens when parents get bunnies for Easter 😡 On my city fb page someone posted about 4/5 bunnies being dumped in there neighborhood (I think they’ve rescue all) Prayers for more foster. ****I’ll chat with hubby maybe we can help foster for a bit*****

I am so sad and sorry that I am not closer and that my resources have evaporated helping the Lucky 13 Bunnies that I helped rescue from the Georgina Ontario hoarding situation.. My supplies are gone. My funds are gone and my space is full… I'm so sorry that all I can do is to send my love and encouragement
